Global Health Gala

The role of the Global Health Gala is to identify and connect UTIHP with the various global health organizations, UTM student groups, local physicians, allied health professionals, and community agencies in the Region of Peel and the GTA.  The annual Global Health Gala hosted by UTIHP and the Mississauga Academy of Medicine (MAM) aims to bring together global health stakeholders to build relationships and to act as a means to discuss global health issues.

This year we will be holding the 3rd annual Global Health Gala on April 7, 2015. The theme will be mental health. We have an exciting keynote by Dr. Albert Wong on the cultural implication in psychiatry titled “Traveling Science: Genetics, Geography and Psychiatry”. We will also have workshops by Dr. Claire Pain, Dr. Anthony Feinstein, Dr Lisa Richardon and Dr. Amin Muhammed on various mental health issues in different populations.

This year, we will be continuing to support local agencies. Please consider making a donation to this Gala. All proceeds will go to the Peel Aboriginal Network towards their initiatives to support the Aboriginal community in Peel Region.
